China Wind Systems Inc., a supplier of rolled rings to the wind power industry in China, has signed a preliminary agreement with Wuxi Lida Gear Manufacturing Co. Ltd., a gear-rim fabricator, to supply rolled rings measuring 3-4.5 meters in diameter.

Pilot Phase Completed for Belgian Offshore

REpower Systems AG announced that it has successfully completed the pilot phase for Thornton Bank, an offshore wind farm in Belgium. Once all project phases have been completed, Thornton Bank will produce approximately 1,000 gigawatt-hours of power per year.
